I went a little nuts over these new Moonkoosa Boots from Tiny Owl Knits. They are quite possibly the cutest felted slippers I’ve ever seen, so of course I just had to make a pair. I chose the ankle length in Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride Bulky Olympic Bronze.
Aren’t they awesome?!?!
I am already planning a second pair in a charcoal gray. I’ll do the tall ones next, perfect for wearing around the house this next winter. I bought some leather to sew onto the bottoms so they will be a bit more durable. I think they will be my new favorites!
One of the cool things about this pattern is that it requires you to do some hand felting. I wanted these so badly, I made myself learn this technique and now I am so glad I did so. Felting isn’t normally my thing, so I was pleasantly surprised at how simple it was. This makes me want to actually knit more felted slippers. I’ve been eyeing the French Press Slippers for years, maybe it’s time to break down and go for it.
Also, I hear Stephanie is working on a baby and kid version too. Sign me up! These will have to be made for all of the adorable kiddos I know!
So that’s the Moonkoosas. Don’t they rock?!
