Hi there! Thanks so much for visiting my blog! My name is Kristen Ashbaugh-Helmreich and I love knitting and designing knitting patterns. I also love to sew, garden, backpack, experiment in the kitchen and do all kinds of “Little House on the Prairie” types of things. I talk about a lot of those things here.
I live in Reno, NV and work for the best place on earth for an obsessive knitter like me–Jimmy Beans Wool! I am so lucky that I get to go to work everyday and be surrounded by knitters, crocheters, sewers, and crafters of all types. It’s a source of constant inspiration.
When I’m not knitting or working, I love to hang out with my hubby, Nick, and our pooch, Wallace, and live life to the fullest!

Hi, I arrived at your site via Ravelry after noticing that you have an icon with a dog that looks like a perfect twin of the mutt my boyfriend and I just got at a shelter. Our dog, Duffy, is a stubby-tailed version of Wallace. The resemblance is amazingly uncanny. I have put the photos side by side if you ever want to see Wally’s twin Duffy.
